COVID-19 Update
We would like to confirm that we are indeed open to provide essential healthcare services. Please call 703-361-8284 or e-mail info@wecarevisioncare.com for an appointment. Just to answer a few FAQ, in consideration of physical distancing recommendations our office is reducing person-to-person contact as much as possible. We are reducing hours and seeing patients for any reason by appointment only. We ask that only essential individuals with an appointment enter the office to order/pick up glasses, contacts, or attend their scheduled exams. Essential individuals include the patient, parent, and/or guardian. If you are an adult, we ask that you complete your visit alone. For those that are traveling with you, we ask that they stay in the car during your visit. If the patient is a minor, a parent or guardian is welcome to join the appointment. Additionally, in response to the CDC recommendation regarding the use of face coverings to slow the spread of COVID-19, Drs. Panner and Wen and staff will be wearing masks while in the office. Please be advised this is for the safety of both staff and patients.
Welcome
Drs. Panner and Wen specialize in family-oriented optometric care and Vision Therapy.
Our focus is on the detection and treatment of ocular disease and the promotion of optimal visual development and performance for all ages, from infancy through the senior years. We provide all aspects of optometric care, including Vision Therapy for those with vision problems which glasses alone cannot correct.
The Economics of Vision
In today's high-tech world, children at school and adults on the job are frequently victims of visual overload. For most people, the visual supply may be adequate to handle everyday activity, but with the widespread use of computers, the explosion of the World Wide Web, and the rapidly flashing images of computer games and smart phones, more and more people are finding that their visual demand is on the rise. As any economist can attest, when demand exceeds supply, price increases! This price can include eyestrain, headaches, or reduced performance on the job or at school.
Too often corrective lenses are used simply as a crutch, supporting weakened eyes but not addressing the root problem. Our doctors understand this and hope to help you better the quality of your life by improving not just WHAT you see, but HOW you see. Vision therapy and therapeutic eyeglasses can give youngsters with undetected developmental vision problems a second chance at academic success. Individuals suffering from autism or pervasive developmental delays and victims of stroke and traumatic brain injuries can also benefit greatly from vision therapy.
